Last year, the Leimert Park Village Book Fair proved that Leimert Park is a literary epicenter of Los Angeles and America. Please join us at the Leimert Park Village Book Fair” on Saturday, May 31. Hosted by 8th District Councilmember Bernard C. Parks, Eso Won Books, the Leimert Park Business Improvement Association and Community Build—the festival promises to be bigger, better and more exciting festival!

Our goal in planning this event is to provide the community access to writers and their work while equally providing writers and spoken word artist a venue to network with other artist and literary exhibitors.

We are very enthusiastic about this year’s event. Our theme is “Celebrating our Literary Legacy: Preserving our Past and Building Our Future.” In addition to authors, poets, and storytellers, Octavia Butler and her work will be honored posthumously and science fiction/fantasy authors will he highlighted.
